How Do We Support Creative and Cultural Work? (A wiki survey)

How do we support creative and cultural work? What are the networks and infrastructures that we put in place to allow such work to happen, to be made and to be available to audiences? How do people make a living from such work and where does such work get co-opted by other systems?

To get things started we are opening a wiki survey, using the Polis pltform (you can read more about wiki surveys and the Polis platform). A wiki survey presents you with a question and a number of comments or suggested answers. You can vote on these comments, agree, disagree or pass. You can also submit your own comments. These are around 140 characters, so short and they are not connected directly with any other comment.

As new comments are added you can return and vote on them, over time the hope is that, for the community of engaged users some kind of consensus, or at least a number of prefered comments are recognised and less popular comments, well have less votes.
